Sherwin-Williams has created the GreenSure symbol to help you identify the products that meet their green coating standards.
They believe the optimal green coating should do two things: minimize the impact on air quality and deliver maximum performance.
Criteria for the GreenSure Designation
--Products that offer maximum performance and long-term durability
--Have the highest indoor air quality ratings for low VOC and low odor
--Meet or exceed the GS-11 criteria for coatings used in LEED-certified buildings (LEED certification means that certain "green building" standards are met, such as energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality.)

I am a professional journeyman painter. And a client recently asked me to use this product. After reading the label of the paint (deep red) it had voc of 49 grams a liter. One gram shy of the legal limit. And it also has crystalline silica. No thank you. Here is my info I collected.
Green Sure is a scam. Its is created by the company Sherwin Williams. Green sure paint is toxic and a carcinogen. Green sure contains crystalline silica which causes cancer.
Quote specs for the
Duration Home line of paint.
Abrading or sanding of the
dry film may release crystalline silica which has been
shown to cause lung damage and cancer under long
term exposure. WARNING: This product contains
chemicals known to the State of California to cause
cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
